First, the name: she was supposed to be named ‘Blacazel (Black as Hell) as she was from my “B” litter, but somehow Dee transposed this to Zesabel!!  She was from my first LH litter and her brother was BW at the Host Show, while she finished by going BW at DCA the first DCA weekend that I showed Longhairs.  At that DCA, Wally and Mary decided to buy her from Dee and I then specialed her for us. She won several Specialties and won a Group, perhaps being the first Standard  LH bitch to do so . I know none had won one in the previous sixteen years until her.
However well she did as a Special, she surpassed that in the whelping box. Not only was she a DCA point winner, she actually produced four more that attained that same honor: Indigo, Kodiak, KK and Madge all were DCA point winners as well as Kismet and Giggles who were DCA AOM winners, too. The depth of quality in her litters was truly amazing, but with her parents, we could have predicted nothing less. She had less than  a perfect head, but was so incredibly sound with a beautiful rear that we just bred her to dogs with the same structure, but gorgeous heads – Gerolf, Johnny and PJ – and she produced Specials quality in each litter.
