BIS Am/Can CH Monica of Heying-Teckel

Judge Chris Shuttleworth, Group 2, Antelope Valley KC, Handler Rose Heying

H778095
Black and Tan Smooth Dachshund Bitch
Sire: MBIS/MBISS CH Falcon of Heying-Teckel
Dam: CH Dinah of Denali
Whelped: June 3, 1957
Died: Date Unknown
Breeders: Fred and Rose Heying
Owners:  Francis X. Hollenreid, then Connie Eisenhower

A beautifully fronted black and tan, Monica was a daughter of the incomparable CH Falcon of Heying-Teckel, out of a CH Lance of Heying-Teckel  daughter.  Mr. Hollenreid acquired her from the Heyings, and she finished in four days by winning three Group 1’s from the classes before she was a year old.  Her first time out as a special, she was Best of Variety at the Sierra Dachshund Breeders Association show under Donia Cline.  Monica was later acquired by Connie Eisenhower and went on to be a BIS winner in the US and Canada.  She was the Number 1 Hound Group bitch in the US in 1958.

Monica never produced any champion offspring.  By virtue of her lovely type, structure and show record, however, she is certainly worthy of a place at TDHP.
