It is with great pride that we announce that we have ONE THOUSAND members on our TDHP Facebook Group page. It really does show that we are making a difference and that people really like to compare our dogs with the best of the past.
We are so excited to have so many people watching the Dachshund History Online website and our Facebook pages. We hope everyone is helped by the information gathered and the sheer number of people looking makes us all try a little harder to keep adding things and show more and more history of our great Breed.
Seeing all the people fascinated by the history of the Dachshund does mean that we will keep getting more pages into the mix and really show off where we came from. The approval of so many makes us all realize that we are not doing this alone and that you guys ROCK!!!
After getting questions about the Dachshund’s front, Dan wrote about what he looks for ( and also what he wants to find when he is looking) in going over the Dachshunds in his ring. It is a long article and he used some Boondox dogs to show what he is seeking and why he is seeking it there.

Thanks to the DFA of Berks County for asking for a critique of their recent Specialty. I worked on it while I was driving home and finished it a couple of days later. Here are my views on the dogs and I hope they are appreciated.

I hate to be flooding everyone with more critiques, but the Florida Gulf Coast Dachshund Club asked me to do a critique of their show that I judged last week, and, so, here it is. This is another example of what I am looking for and what I am seeing as I make my decisions. If you notice, I do try to stay positive and concentrate on the dog’s strong points and hope my preferences come through.
